About

Communication is the biggest challenge for most newcomers to Canada. Learning English improves your communication skills and is the first step to getting a job, making new friends, participating and being a part of your community.

Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) is a program created for immigrants who know some or no English. You can study full-time or part-time, from basic Literacy to Benchmark 8 English. LINC offers many programs to meet your needs and schedule. Morning, afternoon and evening classes are available.

IT ALL DEPENDS ON YOU!

LINC is here to help you find a program that will meet your needs:

  • Classes are offered to eligible newcomers.
  • Child-minding is available in some centres.
  • Transportation may be available to help you attend classes.
  • Whether you live in London, Middlesex, Oxford, Elgin, Lambton or Huron Counties, we can refer you to the nearest LINC class.
  • Educational counselling and referrals to training programs and agencies are also available.

Remember, all LINC assessments and classes are at no cost to you.
This program is funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada.

To enrol, you must be eligible and have an assessment to determine your current level of English language skills.

You can call at any time to book your assessment appointment.
